My friend Janetta introduced me to the Lady Buxton
the Lady has a tramp stamp .....
I have been looking around yard sales, thrift stores, Estate sales, and Etsy for this gold glamor box
it was by accident that I found this one on Craigslist for $40.00
after all, I was looking for another item that I don't need ...
for me, this is the penthouse of jewelry boxes .... 1960 circa mid-century gold glamor box
when I saw it I thought it was too big, even a bit too gold and gaudy for me
that I would not be able to fill it up - wrong.
I have a stupid amount of costume jewelry and wear the same earrings and bracelet everyday
It has cute bun feet that easily slide across the bathroom vanity
and I feel more organized
and I feel more organized
I really like my Lady Buxton. It is in great vintage condition.
$40.00 for my Lady Buxton - worth it to me .. But, unfortunately, I think I did at least $540. worth of damage to the Maxipad when I pulled in the previous owner's driveway.
Ouch!!!!

ReplyDeleteLynn - I am looking for one! I just found a similar one on Craig's list, but the one pictured above is the exact one I want. If this is what you have, please call me at 217.762.3209. Lisa
ReplyDeleteI have been trying and trying finding a box exactly like this one. Color doesn't matter too much, but the layout is what I want!
ReplyDeleteCan anyone help??
I have one for sale! I know, it's been a year since this thread was started. But I only just now thought about selling it. Mine was well-loved by my grandmother from the 1960s until 2007. Since then, it's just been sitting around in my office collecting dust. It is the Gold Heirloom box and I can take photos, if anyone is interested. Thanks! Cecily (cestdiva@yahoo.com)
